Restaurant and bar buildouts are a different animal. You're not just pulling wire and hanging fixtures - you've got to think about atmosphere, equipment loads, code compliance, and making sure every circuit can handle the demands of a busy commercial kitchen and bar. That's a lot of moving parts, and getting the electrical right from the start is what keeps everything running safely down the line.
This space had a lot of character to work with. Exposed brick, stone arched walls, heavy timber beams, and a curved concrete bar top. The goal was to complement all of that - not fight it. Layered lighting makes a huge difference in a space like this. Pendant lights over the bar area, LED strip lighting tucked under the bar top edge, recessed ceiling fixtures, and warm accent lighting washing down the brick walls. Each layer serves a purpose, and together they give the space depth and a real sense of place.
The bar alone required careful planning. A curved bar that long needs consistent, even illumination - both overhead for the bartenders working the space and along the base to set the mood for guests. We ran clean, reliable power to the bar equipment as well. Refrigeration units, POS systems, blenders, ice machines - commercial bars pull serious amperage, and the infrastructure behind the walls has to be built right to support all of it without tripping breakers mid-service.
Down in the lower level, the stone archways and raw brick walls tell a story on their own. Good lighting lets that architecture do the talking. We kept the fixtures clean and positioned to highlight the texture of the walls without overpowering the space. LED lighting is the right call in commercial spaces like this - better efficiency, longer lifespan, and far less heat output than older fluorescent or incandescent options, which matters a lot when you've got a packed room.
Every commercial buildout we work on gets the same level of attention - whether it's a restaurant, retail space, or something else entirely. Good electrical work is invisible when it's done right. The lights come on, the equipment runs, and the business operates without a hitch. That's exactly what we're here to deliver.
